Our Building History
Fireflies Nursery is based in the historical building - Mitchells & Butlers Brewery Fire Station, which has been branded 'the finest private Fire Station in the country' when it was operating. Walking through the corridor into the play area you will see the historic photos of the open day of the Fire Station and the outside of the building, which has not changed much since the day it was built in October 1927!
Opening Hours
We are open 8:00am - 6:00pm Monday to Friday.
The nursery closes for one week over Christmas every year, as well as closure on all public bank holidays.
We also close for an additional 3 staff training (inset) days per year. Dates for these will always be given in advance to allow for parents to make alternative plans for childcare.
